All sessions are 60 minutes. This gives enough time to work through problems properly, explain the method, and check understanding — without rushing.
Sessions run on Zoom with a shared digital whiteboard. You'll need a device with a camera and stable internet — a laptop or tablet works best. Harrison uses screen sharing to work through problems in real time, and you can annotate too.
Many students find online easier than in-person — no travel, comfortable environment, and sessions can be recorded for revision if needed.
Harrison tutors Maths and Physics at both GCSE and A-Level. He recently completed these exams himself, so his knowledge of current mark schemes and common question patterns is highly up to date.
Harrison has over 4 years of tutoring experience and holds a Master's degree in Physics. Combined with having recently sat his own A-Level exams, this means he brings both deep subject knowledge and a highly current understanding of exactly what examiners are looking for.
Sessions are split into two parts. The first segment covers the theory and key concepts clearly and concisely. The second moves into engaged, interactive learning on the whiteboard — working through problems together, with the approach tailored to the student's ability and pace. No passive listening; you're involved throughout.
Yes. Targeted homework reinforces what was covered in the session and helps Harrison track where understanding has stuck and where gaps remain. It's manageable and focused — not overwhelming.
All major UK exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and WJEC. When you book your intro call, let Harrison know which board you're studying and he'll tailor sessions accordingly.
Single sessions are £40 per hour. The 5-session block is £185 (saving £15), and the 10-session Exam Intensive is £350. The intro call is completely free with no obligation to book.
Absolutely. Many students start with a single session to see how it feels before moving to a block. Book the free intro call first, then take it from there — no pressure.
Five 60-minute sessions, a structured learning plan, progress tracking between each session, homework after each session, and parent updates if requested. The block must be used within 8 weeks of purchase.
Yes. If you refer a friend or sibling who books a paid session block, you both receive a free session. Just mention it when they book and have them note your name.
Most students notice increased confidence and clearer understanding within the first two or three sessions. Grade improvements on papers typically show within 4–6 weeks of consistent sessions, depending on the gap between current and target grade.
The main difference is recency. Harrison recently sat his own GCSEs and A-Levels, so he knows exactly how current exams are structured, which topics are examined most, and where students typically lose marks right now — not based on what exams looked like years ago.
Yes. After every session Harrison sends a personal message covering what went well and what needs working on, plus a brief note on what was covered, homework set, and what to focus on next. Parents are welcome to be copied on all communication for younger students.
Sessions are available on weekday evenings and weekends. Exact availability is shown when you book via the calendar. Slots are allocated first-come, first-served — earlier booking is better, especially in April–May exam season.
Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged at the full session rate. Refunds are issued within 24 hours for extenuating circumstances — if something unexpected comes up, just let Harrison know and he'll sort it. This is confirmed in writing before your first paid session.
Harrison sends a secure payment link after your intro call. All major cards are accepted. Blocks are paid upfront; single sessions can be paid upfront or on the day.
Yes, and often especially so. Many students on a B or 6 are losing marks in specific areas — not because they don't understand the subject, but because of exam technique or mark scheme awareness. Targeted sessions can often push a B to an A with less effort than parents expect.
It depends on how much time there is, but in most cases — no. Harrison will tell you honestly on the intro call what a realistic improvement looks like given the timeline. Even a focused 4–6 week push before exams can shift a grade significantly if approached correctly.
Book the free intro call. It costs nothing and takes 20 minutes. You'll leave with clarity on whether Science Sphere is the right choice — and if it isn't, Harrison will say so and suggest what else might help.
